Running XP Pro. Somehow the Quick Launch 'Show Desktop' icon has shifted from the taskbar quick launch area to the desktop itself. How do I get it back to the taskbar quick launch area? It won't drag and drop back.

you have to copy the icon and paste it on to your quick launch folder. This particular folder can be found under your username follwed by this path Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Right click on the Taskbar and make sure "Lock the Taskbar" is not ticked. Then try to drag and drop it again.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who haven't got it.
