Have you

1) opened AVG from the system tray?

2) clicked on Link Scanner from the Overview screen?

3) looked at Settings in Link Scanner to see if Enable AVG Search-Shield is checked? If not, check it, click Save Changes, then close your browser and reopen it.

(this applies to AVG version 8.0)

Hi Queen Evie,

Didn't work, everything is checked and it says I'm protected.

My browser is loading very slow, I think I'm infected.

Any suggestions for what I should use to scan ?

I have most of the regular anti-virus programs.

It seems there are several being effected by the looks of the AVG Posts, . .I am replying to a very strange BC web page format, a lot of the page details are missing in context to appearance, so there seems to be something wrong, . .anyway the last time this happened I think, I was infected.

My AVG first is working well except for the Green checks on the web pages, I have not been able to get it back on.

But the e-mail scanner is working correctly for a time then it gets the little red ball with the white "!" mark, and it has been that way since, I first installed it. I guess I should have a plug in but for my life I can not figure what there talking about at the AVG site the last time I was there.

I have SAS, MBAM, AVG SB, AA.

I also believe I have an infection, will appreciate your help.

This is what my BC page looks like and my PC browser seems to have slowed,
I did D/L some RealOne player software, but I don't recall if the AVG problem came first.

There are no tool bar toggles in this reply box !! and I did not see a post by, "Queen Evie".

So I'm not sure what is going on, . . I did find MSMGS in my startup list so it appears to be either bad or not needed so far, I ran SB but found nothing, I will try MBAM, next.

Feel free to advise !!

If you haven't seen previous post please check it out !

After a secondary pop up message from COMODO, concerning RealOne Player, I checked the radials for ask me, and did a restore, that seemed to fix the problem, with the page distortion, but the AVG is still not checking the Search Document pages.I decided to re-install.

My AVG Web Page Document Green Checks came back on when I turned off COMODO appls.

I did this because it was blocking all my internet connections, now all I have to do is figure out how to get it back on and working with the Internet at the same time ?
