Having a whole lot of sudden spyware/virus problems. McAfee can't seem to find anything.
Main problems:
--Constant popups whenever I open/refresh/any sort of navigation on webpages.
--McAfee is repeatedly removing the same Vundo!gpl virus
--Task Manager has been disabled by administrator
--An unwanted icon on my task bar saying "Warning Security report" and pulls up a pop-up whether I right or left click it
--Tried installing anti-spyware programs but whenever I attempt to install they either get an error or explorer konks out completely

The first problem has been around for a while, everything else has happened within the last few days.

Here's a hijack log in hopes of some kind of Divine Intervention.

Hi,

The current formatting of your log makes it difficult to read, so in notepad:
On top, click Format >uncheck Word Wrap

Your system is severly infected. Problem with these infections nowadays is, it causes a lot of damage. Even if we clean the malware off your system, I can't guarantee that your system will be clean afterwards, because these infections/bundles leave a lot of leftovers behind that most scanners won't even recognise and logs won't show.
Also, I can't promise you we can repair all the damage it caused... Even after cleaning the malware, you can still get errors afterwards because of the damage. Solving these is not always possible since it will be searching for a needle in a haystack to find the right cause and solution.
So, we can try to clean this up and do what we can, but keep in mind that we can't solve ALL problems this malware already caused.

In light of this it would be wise for you to back up any files and folders that you don't want to lose before we start. Reason I am telling this is because when a system is so terribly infected and we try to clean this up manually, the damage that is already present may interfere with our removal attempts.

* Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Post the log from ComboFix in your next reply.

Extra note: The combofix tutorial recommends to disable your Antivirus, in your case McAfee. For McAfee, I rather recommend to temporary uninstall it, because Mcafee causes a lot of problems with Combofix after reboot, this because McAfee enables again after reboot. So please temporary uninstall McAfee first, then reboot and then scan with Combofix.

Hi,

We're not finished yet...

I see you have NoAdware installed. If you didn't purchase it, I suggest you uninstall it.

Then, * Open notepad - don't use any other texteditor than notepad or the script will fail.
Copy/paste the text in the quotebox below into notepad:

File::
c:\windows\system32\moyedebi.dll
c:\windows\system32\fahodawi.dll
c:\windows\system32\pituwoye.dll
c:\windows\system32\voragoro.dll
c:\windows\system32\nowiketi.dll
c:\windows\system32\bavopipi.dll
c:\windows\system32\lukejata.dll
c:\windows\system32\tunayise.exe
c:\windows\system32\yofematu.dll
c:\windows\system32\masarodo.dll
c:\windows\system32\nikeroko.dll
Driver::
XDva189
Registry::
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\security center]
"AntiVirusDisableNotify"=dword:00000000
"UpdatesDisableNotify"=dword:00000000

Save this as txtfile CFScript

Then drag the CFScript into ComboFix.exe as you see in the screenshot below.

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply.

Combofix is saying that it is expired and gives me the option to run it in "reduced functionality" mode. Should I just run it anyway or re-download it or something first? Also I thought I did uninstall NoAdaware a while back, all I could find was a .na file in the Program Files folder, so I just deleted that.

Hi,

This looks OK again.

* Go to start > run and copy and paste next command in the field:

Combo-Fix.exe /u

Make sure there's a space between Combofix and /
Then hit enter.

This will uninstall Combofix, delete its related folders and files, reset your clock settings, hide file extensions, hide the system/hidden files and resets System Restore again.

Let me know in your next reply how things are now.

There is still a Combofix(2) on my desktop from when I accidentally downloaded the program twice, and cant seem to get rid of it. Other than that everything seems to be working fine.

Hi,

Just delete it from your desktop. :thumbup2:

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.
And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.
Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.

Happy Surfing again!

Hi,

Ok, let's try this via a command prompt, works in 80% of the cases..

go to start > run and type: cmd

Now cmd prompt will open.

Type next commands:

cd C:\ <click enter>

Now you'll see C:\>

Then type:

del "c:\documents and settings\LOLWUT\Desktop\ComboFix(2).exe" <click enter>

Please make sure you type it exactly as shown above.

If that didn't work, try it again, but with explorer killed. So in taskmanager, kill the process explorer.exe
To launch explorer again, just in taskmanager, select new task and enter explorer.exe in there.

Or another method is DelinvFile:
http://www.purgeie.com/delinv/index.htm

In anyway, I wouldn't really worry about this though...

The command prompt didn't work, due to invalid something or other, I forget, but the DelinvFile worked fine.

Thanks a bunch for all the help. :thumbup2:
