I am running XP prof and until a few days ago, whenever I put the system in Stand By mode, everything powers down - case fans and all. Now when I put the machine in stand by, all the case fans and the power supply fan continue to spin. Anybody know a cure? I tried to do a system restore back to a date before the issue began and Windows goes through the motions but ends up telling me that the system restore was unsuccessful. I'm flummoxed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Standby problems are often caused by corrupt video drivers, so I would try reinstalling this driver.
