I have an issue with Internet Explorer not launching (I might have more, but that's the one I'm consumed with the most.) During the "Try-and -Fix It-Myself" phase of the issue I found a thread on this website (and subsequently this website, as well) where the OP has an identical issue.

The last post in the thread was by Grinler, 21 days ago. Three weeks exactly. I've had the problem for maybe about 3 1/2 so I must have gotten hit around the same time as the OP, of the linked thread.

I'm posting here because I wanted to get the opinion of the community on whether I should post a new thread, harass the OP until they return, or well- I've run out of ideas (which is why i'm starting this thread.) I searched for what to do in this event and I read a lot of the stickies ("pinned threads") but I either missed something or ignored something.

What do you think I should do?

P.S. Is this even the correct forum for THIS thread?

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

First of all Yes, you many think your have exactly the same symptoms as another poster. However due to the fact that it is quite unlikely you have the exact same software and protection applications installed, configured and running. The reality is it is quite unlikely the issues within the machine causing the problem are 'identical'. Even though the preliminary description emulates your issue.

It is far safer to create your own personalized thread and describe in 'your words' the problems symptoms and steps taken to achieve the safest and best results for your machine.

What do you think I should do?

Start your own topic, after reading the pinned topics as a guide, in the Am I infected? What do I do?

And Good Luck with your issue.
