I was cleaning unnecessary files on my Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3 using EasyCleaner 2,0 by ToniArts. It found the file C:\WINDOWS\Temp\WFV12D6.tmp but couldn't delete it. I located the file and tried to send it to the Recycle Bin but I got a prompt saying that it was in use by another person or program.

I am having no trouble with my computer but my curiosity was piqued. I googled it and found nothing. If anyone has any information that they could give me about this file, I would greatly appreciate it. The file is 52MB.

Thank you for your time.

Are you using McAfee products by chance?????

Yes, McAfee Security Center. I'm guessing that that's the answer to my question.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I do appreciate it.

Take care.

Then you need to check these threads out. http://community.mcafee.com/showthread.php?t=224623 and http://forums.mcafeehelp.com/showthread.ph...ight=wfv%2A.tmp

They don't make sense to me as I don't use McAfee. But maybe you can get some help there.
