This problem has driven me nuts for a few weeks. I hope I can explain it well enough for everyone to understand.

First, let's get some details out of the way. I am using Windows XP Professional on a Celeron 1000 mhz desktop. I am using Interent Explorer 6.

The problem exists with Interenet Explorer 6. I can load most any page if I manually type it into my browser. However, any sort of webpage with third party picture links or advertisements do not display. It just shows empty boxes.

Some of the boxes will display the name of the link but not the picture. Other boxes or parts of the web page will show the classic internet explorer error page "The page cannot be displayed."

Please HELP! I need detailed instructions on how to fix this problem.

Thanks everyone,
Chris

Try cleaning out your temporary internet files.

Tried that just now.....no luck

Another example of the problem is that the ads at the bottom of this website don't show up.......just an empty box.

What anti-virus are you using? Do you have a "suite" of security programs?

I'm using the free version of AVG Anti-virus and ZoneAlarm.
