My laptop recently updadted to service pack 3 and now my laptop has lost sound. My laptop is a lenovo thinkpad . I took my laptop to the IT guys on our collage campus but they were unable to hely me, they tried reinstalling the hard drives but nothing seemed to work. Does anyone else have this problem and does anyone know of a solution to getting the sound back.

re-installing the hard drives? I highly doubt that.

However go to Start > Run
Type: devmgmt.msc
Press enter

On the window that appears, press the + sign next to 'Sound, Video, and Game controllers'
Post back here with what it lists under the 'Sound, Video, and Game controllers'

Please let us know if there are ANY icons in the window that have a yellow or red mark on the icon!
