I would appreciate whatever help you can give. My internet access (from IE, Mozilla, etc.) is overrun with full-screen popups. I have run Spybot and Adaware. I have run them and re-run them in Safe mode. They find something every time, I then "fix" the problems, then rerun them to find the problems are back. I have run my virus software, with the latest pattern, and it found nothing. I ran Hijackthis and my log file is below. HELP PLEASE! I have a presentation to make on Wednesday and am travelling on Tuesday. I posted at the Spybot forum, but the response was slow and when they could respond, they commented that this was a company computer. It is a company computer. It is a small company and my IT department is one person, who is aware of what I am trying to do and is okay with it. So, please do not let that stop you from helping me. I know this is all volunteer, but I will be very thankful if someone can find the time soon. Thank you.

Hi,

It is a small company and my IT department is one person, who is aware of what I am trying to do and is okay with it

Especially since this is a company owned computer, the first thing I always advise is to back up important files you don't want to lose, this since malware causes a system unstable and it may happen that it suddenly won't boot anymore, because of the damage already present - and this may happen while running removaal tools.

Also, keep in mind to change all your passwords afterwards as well, once we are done here, because all important info may be compromised, passwords known etc..
That's why - if it's a company owned computer - keep in mind that you're putting the whole company at risk because this computer is infected. Not sure how this happened, but people should be more careful while browsing the web with a company owned computer. Please ask your IT department afterwards to create an account with restricted rights on this computer.

Anyway, * Please visit this webpage for instructions for downloading and running ComboFix:

Post the log from ComboFix in your next reply.

Hi,

This looks OK again.

* Go to start > run and copy and paste next command in the field:

ComboFix /u

Make sure there's a space between Combofix and /
Then hit enter.

This will uninstall Combofix, delete its related folders and files, reset your clock settings, hide file extensions, hide the system/hidden files and resets System Restore again.
