I installed Superantispyware and as soon as it tries to run I get a BSOD
stating that SASKUTIL.SYS is the problem

SAS runs on all my XP computers, including this one before W7.
W7 was a clean install on a spare drive.

anyone have any ideas why it is crashing now?????????

More than likely it's got issues with the changes in Win7 - that's why it's a beta
Specifically, this was warned about in the Beta documentation.

Try setting all of the executables in the SAS folder to run in Vista compatibility mode.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

I doesn't work with Win7. This is the reply back to me from SuperAntiSpyware:

Currently SUPERAntiSpyware does not work under Windows 7 Beta. We will likely be unable to support Windows 7 until after the official release. SUPERAntiSpyware integrates too tightly within the security structure of Windows and attempting to compensate for a moving target, such as pre-release software, would be a ton of wasted effort. There is special code within SUPERAntiSpyware written for each version of the Windows Kernel; at best we will simply bypass this portion of the application if Windows 7 is detected; preventing a crash, but running in a reduced capacity. I don't have a timeframe on when this update may be available.

One person in their forum said it will work, but certainly not SuperAntiSpyware support.

Is this what you're referring to? If so.... that is IMO, not a functional antispyware.

I have the pro version of SAS on three of my computers. It doesn't work with my installed Win7 Beta.
A BSOD happens when installing and trying to uninstall. I will believe SAS support over anyone else at this point in time.

The Malwarebytes staff says that it only works with 32-bit.
