How does one remove all info from computer prior to selling it?

To be 100% safe, buy a new hard drive (well under $100).
Short of that, one can only wonder what data is retrievable by someone who is interested in searching your hard drive.

Here is a utility that I use to completely and securely erase HD's.

I use the Professional (paid) version but there is a free download also that
should meet your needs
