at start up i get the following black screen message ntvdm.exe has encountered c\sys32vmmd 1a..1.exl-- can anyone please advise me what this is about and how to solve and get rid of this error -I would be most grateful for any help--regards
actually this is happening on a friends pc and not on mine -what ive posted is what he's telling me -i will be visiting him soon and i will see for myself what the message says exactly and i will repost this problem thank you for responding so quickly sorry for the inconvenience--best regards
The only information I could find is that ntvdm.exe is part of the Windows 16-bit virtual environment, used to allow 16-bit software to run on a 32-bit version of Windows. Error messages related to that executable seem to be linked often to old drivers and certain types of malware. As for sys32vmmd, I am not sure what that is.
The only way to learn anything is to question everything.
