Has anyone seen this error or know what causes it? I had an older version of google earth, but it kept freezing, showing an error message, then closing. I tried to update it, to no avail. I then uninstalled it and tried to download the latest version, and this is the error message it shows.

Hi Highveelocity.
At first glance it appears to be compressed in a format 7-Zip cannot handle. It is a 7-zip error.
The version of GE you have is 4.3 and is a beta at the moment.
Go here, download and install version 4.2 for windows at the bottom of the page. It is a standard .exe (GoogleEarthWin.exe) that uses the windows installer.
Let us know.
