sorry for the edit. i thought my original post lacked any real info. i hope this is a little better.

my computer is running very slow.

i have a bunch of problems. i'm thinking i have a virus because i get pop-ups asking me to download anti-sypware programs. i also get a message in the system tray that says my computer may be at risk. i even tried to reformat but i get a message saying that i can't format because another program or utility is using the drive. and i cannot get on the internet so i'm posting this on another computer.

i'm running windows xp home SP2 on a dell 2350 (celeron). i have 256M ram

can anyone help?
