I have an HP 6330a PC and a nVidia e-GeForce 8800 GT and need some help. I know I need a wire to run from my power supply to the card itself, that I dont have. What I need to know is if I need a new power supply all together. If anyone knows what kind of wire I need that would be great.

Hp does not list the exact specifications for your power supply chances are that its not powerful enough for your current configuration and the new video card. The adapter you are looking for is a PCI-E power adapter. However you should verify that your power supply is powerful enough to power the card. You need at least 500W or a 450W with the 12v rails totaling 22 amps. The ratings for your power supply should be on the sticker located on the side of the PS inside the case.

Edit:  To Bleeping Computer
