Hi I have searched everywhere for someone with the same problem but i havnt found anyone yet. My task manager is gone. Its not disabled its completly gone. I have tried looking in regedit to see if its in there but the folder its supposed to be in isnt even there. I have also looked in other places on my pc where copies of it should be but there are none. I dont know what else to do. Any ideas?

Try line 51 (right column) from here.

or

If you have XP Pro

Go to Start / Run / type gpedit.msc

User Configuration
Administrative Templates
System
click Ctrl+Alt+Del Options

on your right you'll see the option: "Delete Task Manager"
make sure it's not enabled.

assuming you have scanned for viruses and crapware

you could try getting a copy of taskmgr.exe from another computer and put it in c:\windows\system32 folder
if the registry entries are gone then this may not work but worth a try
