Hi,

I have Roxio Creator 2009 installed with XP Pro. Whenever I open Windows Media Player or an Explorer window containing video files, Windows Installer appears asking me if I want to install Roxio Cineplayer. I have done this, but the installer keeps appearing.

I looked in Windows task manager and msiexec.exe appears when the installer opens, however it doesn't go when I 'End Process'. If I click on Roxio CinePlayer installer under applications and click 'Go To Process', it goes to either wmplayer.exe or explorer.exe, or occasionally GoogleDesktop.exe.

Could someone please tell me how I can stop the installer popping up all the time?

Thanks,
Joe

Try the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility:
Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
Look for anything referring to Roxio and run the app
The only thing you don't want to use it on is Windows Office applications

Thank you very much for that. It's been frustrating me for ages, but now I've removed the Roxio Cineplayer reference it's stopped happening.
