For about the past month I haven't been able to burn any cd/dvd's on my computer. When I insert a disk instead of a little box popping up asking if I want to burn a cd, Play a dvd, etc., It says "There is no disc in your drive, Please insert a blank disc before starting the burn."

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Can you see a data CD? Will it be read by Windows Explorer?

The first thing to try if your CD's aren't being seen is to clean the drive. Get a can of compressed air and blow inside the tray area. Also get a CD cleaning disc and run that.

It reads all other cd's like dvd's , regular cd's and data cd's. It's just when I insert a blank cd It won't read it.

Will do, Thank you very much.
