I read about this the other day. I am using one of those in question. It is only 2 months old. So far no problems.

That's a tragedy. I'm more of a western Digital kinda guy myself. However I've always felt that Seagate was my second best. Maxtor.. haha We all can say a thing or two about that brand...Not trying to point and laugh. but I just can't help it. They are the winners of epic Failures
