need help asap

Hi all,

Can somebody pls help me?
every time i reboot pc i get a setup program poping up,i assume it is virus spywre or adware.
i cancel setup and it goes away but i get a folder filled with winrar files that i dont want and havnt put there in the first place.
I have deleted these files but every time i reboot the files come back along with the setup prog.
I have run bps spybot etrust but it is still here.

Have you or anyone else who uses your computer tried to download a zip utility ap lately?

Look in add/remove programs in your control panel ad see if winrar is there and can be deleted from there.

hi
thanks for your advice,i have deleated winraw from add\remove..but the set up box comes back when i reboot or log off and on.
i clicked next on the set up file and i got error message saying
*set up can not continue on windows NT based systems*
but i am on XP not NT

I believe XP evolved from NT as did Win 2K.
If the system is Win XP or Win ME use a system restore date from before the attempt to download Winrar was made.

If that didn't work it looks like we need one of our registry experts to get it out of the registry.
