Hi guys,

I ran spybot search and destroy as my brother thought he had a virus on his computer. I fixed all the items spybot found, it asked me to restat my computer, restarted my computer and now I get this message whenever I try and log in to any username:

"C:|WINDOWS\system32\command.com

The parameter is incorrect"

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards

command.com is the parameter/phrase used in the Run command located in the start menu or in Command Prompt to execute the MS-DOS classic version. This classic version of MS-DOS is only located as a partial utility in Windows XP and higher.

Edit: backslash reference removal

Thanks for your reply. It says that message when I try and log on, if I click on OK or the close box it just pops back up?

I am actually going to redirect you to the Spybot forum here

It has the solution that you may be able to try.

Reply back if you have problems with the solution or did/did not get it to work.
