I am using an older Gateway(bios2002) running XP Prof. and when I boot up and login, I get my background pic for about 1 second and then it automatically logs off. I also tried it in safe mode and it does the same thing.

I ran a rc.iso and did a chkdsk /r and it fixes 1 or more errors, but it still does the same thing...I would appreciate some assistance..Thank you
