A while ago I couldn't connect to the internet and my hotmail account. A friend sorted it out by using some command prompts and said it was my avg firewall that was stopping it. The same thing has happened again. Can any one tell me what's happening and how I can sort it out.

It may be issues with AVG settings. I don't have that one. But
See if this fixes your Net issues .

Go to Start ... Run and type in cmd
A dos Window will appear.
Type in the dos window: netsh winsock reset
Click on the enter key.

Reboot your system to complete the process.
