Hi, starting today (1/15/09), I have been receiving these audio advertisements (they are continuous) of random things. Even when I close FireFox, the advertisment continues to play. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is installed onto my computer. I have been scanning my computer (using the 'quick scan' option) for the past few days to remove the virus that is causing all of the pop ups. Each time, after the scan, there are only 2 "infected" files, I delete them, but the pop ups keep coming back. The pop ups have been occuring for the past few days (3?), before, the Malwarebytes system seemed to remove them, but for the audio advertisements and blank advertisements that I've been getting lately, nothing is coming up, so it is impossible for the application to remove it. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of the pop ups.

the "blank" pop ups that I have been getting lately are of this URL: http://85.12.43.70/dot.gif/?ver=112&cm...&br=firefox

Nevermind!

My automatic updates was disabled (by a virus, I think)
I restarted my computer and an alert came up saying it had cleared a bunch of viruses for me during the update.

Thanks so much for replying so fast, though!

OK thanks for telling us. Feel free to get a second opinion with that scanner and post the log if you wish.
