  • To set your home page you have to disable Norton home page protection: How to Disable Norton Home Page Protection

You may enable it after setting your homepage.

  • This is not related to your question. I see on the log Ask Toolbar is installed on your computer:

This program is known to be bundled with adware/spyware. You may read more about Ask Toolbars here:
    http://www.benedelman.org/spyware/ask-toolbars/

    To uninstall Ask Toolbar:

Click "start" on the taskbar and then click on the "Control Panel" icon.
Please doubleclick the "Add or Remove Programs" icon.
A list of programs installed will be "populated" this may take a bit of time.
If they exist, uninstall the following by clicking on the following entries and selecting "remove":

    Ask Toolbar

Also remove the folder in bold: C:\Program Files\AskBarDis

  • You have the latest version of Java (Java 6 Update 11) and it is good. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malicious sites can use to exploit and infect your system. Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components:
Click "start" and then "Control Panel" icon.
Doubleclick the "Add or Remove Programs" icon
A list of programs installed will be "populated" this may take a bit of time.
Uninstall the following by clicking on the following entries and selecting "remove":

    J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 5
    Java™ 6 Update 3
    Java™ 6 Update 5
    Java™ 6 Update 7

Tell me if the problem is resolved.
