hello and thanks for even looking.
im moving into an apt soon. they have sat cable & internet service. they offer motorola cable modem sb5105 . does anybody know if a motorola sb5101 is compatable or not ?? if it is. is it faster or slower ?

Compatible with what?

I have a Motorola 5220 cable modem, formerly had a SB5100. It's a modem, higher numbers are newer. Have used both with XP (ethernet connection, not USB).

Guess I don't understand the question.

Sure, I don't see why not.

The only reason I don't still use my 5100 is that Time-Warner had upgraded their stock modems when I signed on for additional services...and they changed it.

thanks for info. i have to buy modem.. from cable co. (65$ sb5105). i can buy sb5101 for 30$
