This one really has me stumped. Apparently my friends are saying my msn has been sending them phishing site links, or pictures (probably to install a virus) through msn, and I obviously havnt been doing it.
I went into safe mode, scanned with Ad aware, Kaspersky, Malware bytes anti malware, and spybot search and destroy, and all came up with nothing, save for a random harmless cookie.

I made a hijackthis log, and looked at it myself, saw nothing that constituted a virus (although I am not an expert by any means).

Now Im either thinking I have rootkit of death keylogging me or something for password, or I was phished somehow. I would also like to note that I changed my password, and so far I havnt got any complaints from friends.

The only thing I can think of is that I use eBuddy and another MSN app for my ipod touch, so I guess its possible I could be phished from that, or maybe I could have gotten my password cracked or gotten cookie stolen (up until now I had msn set to sign in automatically), Im not sure but im guessing this could cause exploits.

I dont like to waste your time with these things, but really dont know what else to do.

Here is my log for good measure:

Hi,

I can't see anything suspicious here.

Now Im either thinking I have rootkit of death keylogging me or something for password, or I was phished somehow. I would also like to note that I changed my password, and so far I havnt got any complaints from friends.

I'm pretty sure you were dealing with this one:

I kinda figured I was phished somehow, but hoped that Im not stupid enough to have entered my data in there sometime in the past :S

Oh well, if it comes back ill let you know, otherwise I think the password change did the trick.

I don't think it will come back after you have changed your password ;-)
