The beta is no longer available. It will not be available anymore. Any other downloading is against Microsoft policy. If it isn't shown on Microsoft Windows 7 site, then it is not available. Downloading through torrents is dangerous.

No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences.

This discussion is over. I think the topic should be closed as well!

Since this was brought up recently again, I thought I'd jump in here.

First, I completely agree with Jay in that downloading from torrent sites is inherently dangerous for your computer.

Second, you can now download the Windows 7 RC, which you will be able to use until June 1, 2010 (a full year!).

You can get more info and download it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx.

Cheers,
Ron
