My mobo is a Intel D945GTP and according to this site http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_res...mit=Go!#DRV

I can install vista 32 Bit on it. I would like to know if that mean I can install Win 7 on it and it will work and my chipset drivers will as well? If someone could verify that for me I would greatly appreciate it.

thx

Hi , If your able to install Vista then I don't see why you can't with W7 . I have installed W7 64 bit and I didn't use any drivers beside what Microsoft update site had . Everything is working on my computer . For drivers ? My cordless mouse I am using an xp driver which is odd because its working better on W7 then it is on XP lol . I believe there were 2 other drivers on Windows update site , I know one was for my video card and the other my net adapter . I didn't install any chipset , audio and they are working pretty good with W7

I don't see why it wouldn't work . I wouldn't install it as your main computer , remember this is an beta . Have a view at this site below . What kind of video card are you using ?

I just have a on board video card but I don't care about aero anyway. I just want to see OS. I use acronis true image on my PC's so I can just put my main OS back on this computer in a matter of minutes so I am not worried about that. Yes, I have looked at that site over the weekend when I d/l win 7.

So you think I would be OK to install win 7 without issues on this machine?
