i've recently downloaded & am using Malwarebytes Pro ,which by the way when i researched got nothing but absolutely glowing reviews,in conjunction with my Avira anti virus which i've used for a number of years,& has always been nothin less than stellar.
my question is will they both work ok together,or is this just too much protection.
should i just have one AV program,or is two overkill?
& if you had a choice, which would you prefer?

Malwarebytes is not an antivirus. There shouldn't be any conflicts between the two.
Please post back if we found the solution

They hould be fine together. Rule of thumb is only one active Antivirus , several layers of antispy are good and one software firewall.

thanx for the feedback.
my firewall is Comodo, which i highly recommend.
with Avira,Malwarebytes,& Comodo, when i scan my comp, the most i usualy get is just some tracking cookies,so i would recommend these three programs anytime.& they seem to work in sync.
once again thanx for the info.you guys rock.
