Hi,

This looks OK again.

Please change all your passwords since they may be known.

Then, * Go to start > run and copy and paste next command in the field:

ComboFix /u

Make sure there's a space between Combofix and /
Then hit enter.

This will uninstall Combofix, delete its related folders and files, reset your clock settings, hide file extensions, hide the system/hidden files and resets System Restore again.

Let me know in your next reply how things are now.

HI Thank you. I followed the directions and my computer seems better. The only problem I still have is that it didn't restore the clock and the internet is running a little strange. Sometimes it works fine and sometimes it doesn't which just might be an internet problem but I don't know yet. SO the only real problem is the clock.
Thank you

Hi,

For your clock... Go to start > run and type: intl.cpl
Hit enter
The Regional Settings properties should open now.
Under the tab Regional options > standards and formats, from the dropdown list, choose your region > click apply and ok.

Please read my Prevention page with lots of info and tips how to prevent this in the future.
And if you want to improve speed/system performance after malware removal, take a look here.
Extra note: Make sure your programs are up to date - because older versions may contain Security Leaks. To find out what programs need to be updated, please run the Secunia Software Inspector Scan.

That's strange though... Did you reselect your region again and clicked apply > OK?
Because otherwise if you didn't click apply and then Ok in the window, it won't display yet. Changes will only display after being applied.

Unless the region you selected does it indeed display in Military time by default which you (or someone else) modified via the settings as well.
You can modify it manually as well though. Under Regional and Language options, choose the tab Regional Options and next to the Standards and formats, next to your region, click the customize button.
Then a new window will open. Select the tab "Time" there and adjust how you would like it. If you don't want the AM and PM in it, then select next to AM for the empty space in the dropdownlist. Same applies for PM.

In anyway, I wouldn't worry about it too mpuch though as this isn't a real issue.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the previous directions. When I followed the first directions you gave me the first time, loading the combofix well when it was going through it's process a black screen came up with white writing, it looked the same as when you want to start your computer in safe mode. Well that same screen is coming up when I start my computer but it doesn't stay on log enough for me to read it. DO you think maybe I should type this again under my start up menu ComboFix /u maybe for some reason it didn't restore everything? Thanks for all you're help.

No,
That's the Recovery Console option that was installed now. Combofix installed the Recovery console. So during boot, you'll see an extra option to use it. It's only there for one second or so though and then it proceeds with booting windows.
This option present is a very useful option and I recommend everyone to have the recovery console installed. This in case something goes terribly wrong and you're not able to boot the computer anymore. In such cases you can still use the Recovery Console.
