I was playing an old computer game on my laptop using DosBox, the game froze, and sometimes when it freezes, it will unfreeze when I mash the keyboard.
When I mashed the keyboard, I somehow made it so that 800x600 resolution does not use the whole screen. I have tried fiddling with the display settings but I cannot seem to fix it.

thanks for any help

Reinstall your graphics card drivers.

And don't use DosBox.

it will unfreeze when I mash the keyboard.

Never a good idea. As you have found out, it can cause far more problems then the original.
