This for disbling the password but I want to enter the password when I log in

when I click start--> log off ---> switch user , it appears as in picture one; the password box is ready

but I want the view to be like in picture 2 which remind me to check the email if I have unread messages before I log in. when I press on the user name , the view becomes like picture 1 and I enter the password

I don't use a password on my system, I'm the only user and the only person with access.

But maybe this is what you want:

To change the security levels and assign passwords user accounts:

1. Log on as a user that will continue to have administrative privileges.
2. In Control Panel, double-click Users.
3. Click "Change an account".
4. Click the user account that you want to modify.
5. Click Change Account Type.
6. Click the type of account that you want to have for this user account.
7. Click the Change Account Type button.
8. To assign a password to this account, click "Create a password".

If not, wait for some input by someone who knows more about this than I .

I am the only user on my computer but I still want password. I think you might miss understand my first post.

The problem : the Welcome Screen pre-select the user account (ie. it will have the user selected and show the password box ready to enter password.)

I want : Welcome Screen not to pre-select the only user account on it,
ie. no user selected and password box visible ; I want to manually click the user account to select it and enter password.
