CPU cannot recognize my US. URGENT HELP NEEDED!

My computer wont find my usb drive, even though when i put it in, it makes the sound of a usb being entered, but i cannot find the usb on the computer.

Open your Device Manager:
Scroll down to where it says USB and click the +'s
If there are any with a yellow exclamation point, Right-click on it and select Properties
Click the selection that says Remove /Uninstall
Restart the computer and windows should redetect it
