I have a Dells XPS 1530
Windows Vista 64 bit

I want to get an external harddrive
My budget is $150 at Dell because I have $70-ish of credit there.

Things I'm looking for
- Pretty (:
- Light, Slim, Portable
- BIG *
- Speed

* I'm trying to use this external hard drive to hold just about everything. Documents, Pictures, Files, Music, Movies, Adobe Photoshop, FTP, Dreamweaver etc *

It's $130 for 500gb ... Does that mean it's slow?

Suggestions would be awesome, thank you

The size of the drive probably does not dramatically affect speed. If this purchase looks good to you, I'd get it.

Best is relative to who you ask. I have the 250G unit and am
very pleased with it. No problems to report. Plug it in and go.

I also considered the SimpleTech drive because it looks really sexy.

But price beat stylish good looks.(the WD passport was on sale for $60)
