The whole thing says, "Warning Dangerous Spyware Many viruses were found on your computer such as: Trojan horse, Passcapture, etc. Your personal information can fall into in the "third hands". Please check up the computer with a special software. Thank
When we first got this message, we also had an icon which brought up an ad for something called Real Antivirus. We then renewed our Norton security subscription and asked it to scan our whole system which it did and it took about 3 hours or more. It said that everything was OK. Later we got a message saying that it had located an adware program and we asked it to take action which I guess it did. We no longer have the icon for the Real Antivirus ad but we are still getting the pop up with the warning and we can't seem to get rid of it. There's no "X" to close it and right clicking doesn't give you a close option. We don't see it in our installed software so we can't uninstall it. The Windows background which is normally blue is all black and the square with the message is black. The lettering is yellow, red and white. The shortcut icons still look the same. We have cleaned our history and cookies and all of that. On our homepage, we were also getting messages telling us that we needed to scan our whole system now, etc. and we still get that sometimes but not always. It also turns all of the text red on the homepage sometimes, not always. We use Windows XP and we have Norton (Symantec) Security. Can anybody tell me how to get rid of the Warning message?
