Outlook Express slow starting

I have a pretty fast computer, 1GB of Ram etc etc etc, i just got it, but it takes Outlook Express a while to open like it is really slow, how can i make it faster, when my firend clicks on OE it pops up in seconds???

Your friend may have IE running in the background right after he boots his computer. Programs and applications that boot on start up make life easier, but each one of these slows the boot process itself, however slightly, so it is a speed trade-off.
