Please help I don't know whats wrong with my pc. I am using windows xp home edition on a pc I bought off one of my friends for Christmas. The other day I logged on to my pc and the desktop was missing (start bar and all icons). I thought this a bit strange so tried to get task manager up by push ctrl-alt-del but a message came up saying task manager disabled by administrator. I then tried to log on as guest and the desktop was also missing from this profile, however task manager was working and I can access the internet through this. I then shut down my pc and turned it back on and I can't log on to any profile but guest (but still with no desktop). I am unsure of what antivirus software is on the pc but I know that my friend had no problems when he owned it, I have no idea about computers and any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
