Hi all...

Add this e-mail to the list of phisming scams. Maybe we should have a hoaxes section???

Dear valued eBay member,

It has come to our attention that your eBay Billing Information
records are out of date. That requires you to update the Billing Information
If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and update
your billing records, you will not run into any future problems with eBay's online service.
However, failure to update your records will result in account termination.
Please update your records in maximum 72 hours.

Once you have updated your account records, your eBay session will not be
interrupted and will continue as normal. Failure to update will result in
cancellation of service, Terms of Service (TOS) violations or future billing
problems.

Please click here to update your billing records.

Thank you for your time!
Marry Kimmel,
eBay Billing Department team.

My wife deals with ebay alot. She has received email for her to verify her paypal information. She says ebay requests all these emails to be sent to them so that they can investigate them.

Yeah new people to ebay would do this. I tried it once and had to change my credit card number. If any time you get a email wanting you to change or update your credit card on ebay or paypal ebay told me to send it to
spoof@ebay.com I think.
Or go to there help area and send it from there.

Ok, Here's the dope. I went to ebay and found out:
Ebay says be careful with the website address. If the website isn't addressed as http://signin.ebay.com/ don't type in your password! If you find anything report it to ebay.
If you receive ANY emails wanting you to verify your account information it's best to send it to spoof@ebay.com. They can tell you whether or not it is real.
I hope this helps someone. It opened up my eyes  lol It is a serous thing though.
So thanks for the info Rigel
