help-i get a error on start-up asking for a driver

this is a compaq presario 770us laptop.the keyboard works fine but in device manager i have a extra keyboard that says unknown device. when windows xp starts a window opens asking for['l8042kbd.sys]driver for logitech setpoint .i hope i posted this in the proper section, please move this post if needed thanks.

have you tried disabling the keyboard that is unkown to you in device manager?
then try rebooting.

Do you have a Logitech keyboard installed? Or possibly in the past?

Could be a corruption situation, could be malware.

I would remove the item via Device Manager...reboot and see if it comes back.
