My laptop has been running extremely slow for about a month now. It takes over 7 minutes to boot up. I ran a Kapersky scan and it indicated that I have the following virus:

Virus.DOS.Uruguay.poly

Any help in resolving this is greatly appreciated. I have been advised by some folks to stop running Norton Utilities......curious on any feedback you may have on this.

Thanks

I am trying to run dds.scr on my PC to enter a log for my PC problem (Virus.DOS.Uruguay.poly virus). I cannot get it to run because I have Autocad running on my laptop and it associates .scr files with Autoca. When I run the dds.scr file it shows up as gibberish in Notepad.

is there another tool I can use to generate the log?

I have merged your latest topic to your previous topic in the Am I Infected forum so we can assist you in producing a log.

What is your operating system: Windows XP, Vista, etc.?

What security programs do you have installed?
