Can anyone decipher the following error message? Until I can get my daughter to join this supportive family,I thought I'd get your feedback.

She keeps getting the following messages while online.
sds2d21.exe
sdsxd.exe

She's running Windows XP.
Don't know what firewall or antvirus programs are used,if any.

Any help you can give is most appreciated.
Thank you

Hello honu1.

Could you please clarify what you mean by "getting the following messages while online"? Are they popups, or Windows messages?

With Regards,
The Panda

Hi there. I have the same problem in my PC. I am currently using ZoneAlarm for firewall and every few minutes I get a pop-up from ZA saying that "sdsxd.exe is trying to access the trusted zone". Same message for "sds2d201.exe". I always deny access because file looked malicious. I tried scanning the computer using BitDefender (online scanner) and it kept on saying that the file was infected with so and so Trojan. Right now, as I am writing this message, got another pop-up from ZA. said that there were modifications to "Tune". Under program name it said sdsxd.exe. Earlier it said that Tune was a newly-installed program, although I could not locate it anywhere on the PC. Do you think my computer is heavily infected? I don't know what else to do but deny access (when ZA pops up) for the meantime.

Hello.

From what I can find, this infection only came up less than a week ago. I would say there is a good chance that those comptuer's are infected.

Joanne_Z, please start a new topic for your issue, even though the symptoms are similar. This is to avoid confusion. You may want to link to this topic.

honu1, do you have access to the computer in question?

With Regards,
The Panda

Hi Panda,
I do not have access to the computer in question. It belongs to my daughter who lives thousands of miles away. I did email her +strongly advised her to register here at BC to get further help. At this point I'm not sure if she has internet access anymore, but I will be calling her tomorrow to see what's going on.

I realize you need more information than I can give right now, but I was hoping you might shed some light on the .exe I referenced.

I'll get back to you later tomorrow with specific details.

Thank you

Hello honu1.

It will be very difficult to help her, unless we can have some one access the computer directly.
