Is there any way to turn up the sound on a Web site? I tried the site itself, and my speakers. I do wear two hearing aids, but have no problem with other, real life, sounds. I have also tried head phones.

I use eMachines T3256, XP Home, Integrated nVidia.

Actually, I was having similar issues (for about a year) until I decided yesterday to update my sound card. It made a huge difference. To do this, go to Start -> run type in devmgmt.msc and hit enter or OK. Find Sound, video and game controllers, click the little plus icon to the left of it, then find your sound-card and right click it and select update driver.
