So my HD died, and I just got my new one. I plug everything back into my comp, I turn on my monitors, and when I turn the comp on nothing shows up on the monitors. The computer runs, and Im pretty sure my vid card works because a red light turns on and off, but nothing on the monitor. I cant figure out whats wrong. Before I had to use a DVI to VGA because my comp wouldnt work with DVI, so I thought it might have reversed and I tried DVI but still nothing. My vid card is ATI HD 2900XT. I dont think its my PSU cause its 850W but this is it, Antec Quattro 850 PSU. Thanks in advance to whoever helps me out.

Can you tell if the computer is accessing the hard disks, as though the computer were starting normally? Does your monitor and graphics card still work (Sorry, I have to make sure)? You mentioned a red light flashing, where exactly is it? I've never seen a GPU with a flashing LED.

The red light just goes on and off when i start my comp. It always did this so Im pretty sure its working. I cannot tell if it is starting normally, but when my HD died instead of just staying on like it does now, it went through a reboot cycle. Now it just stays on. Its just that nothing shows up on the monitors, as if no signal is going to it.

Does your computer have on board video as well as the Radeon Card?
