Hi, every time I search on Google the results are all to sites trying to sell me stuff, like bizrate.com...

I had this problem, where all my google results were pointing to adware sites...

to solve (running win xp):

close all browsers.

go into control panel, click internet options and then under the general tab, click "Delete Files..." and check "Delete all offline content" and click ok that fixed it for me.
