With my cable modem I am currently using every few hours or so I will have no connectivity to the internet. When this happens the "power" and "cable" lights will flash simultaneously. Then after a bit it will be just my "power" light flashing. I have had my provider come out and look at it several times and of course it will always be working when they are here and they don't know what to do since it's working while they're here. Any help would be appreciated.

Tell them that you want a replacement. It is obviously a power related issue and needs to be replaced. If they give you any hassle and say nothing is wrong with it, tell them that you want it replaced and if they say no, threaten to switch to another service. You would be suprised at how fast they will replace it.
