Interesting article here

My experience is they last a year + 1day - just after the worthless warranty expires.
That said, I still use'm, so convenient!!

I post this for no other reason that to remind people that ONE backup is NOT enough.

Multiple backups stored in a single location is also not enough, what if your house catches fire and destroys all the copies. It's always a good idea to store one copy at home and another at a secondary location like a safe deposit box, your family's house, or a trusted friend's home.
