I have recently caught a trojan on my PC. I thought i had found all the offending files and deleted them but im still experiencing all the same symptoms/problems with exception to a few. all files that were not in WINDOWS\System32 were hidden with folder options disabled.

Symptoms:
-Folder options not visible in tools menu or CP
-regedit blocked by administrator even though im the only user
-Google links redirect me to either a fake 'you have spyware' page or an alternate search engine (also probably fake)
-get 'page cannot be displayed' message whenever i try to go on any site remotely linked to malware clean up or AV software (including sites like this one).
-random advert popups in firefox when computer is left idle for a while.
-currently installed anti-malware progs fail to update and after around 10% scan, tend to fail, with the exception of HJT.
-downloaded Mbam setup file on other PC and copied via USB stick, but the installation wont run - the process is visible in task manager but i get no window.

cured symptoms due to deletion of files:
iexplore.exe and csrssc.exe processes no longer running in background,

'folder options' now visible from tools menu or CPanel,
regedit now fully accessible

I used HJT to give regedit back and went and turned folder options back on. then checked 'display hidden files and folders' and went and tracked down all the files i knew about to delete them -
csrssc files in various temp folders and in WINDOWS\prefetch

rebooted and rescanned with HJT

I then found the BHO:tyshb36rfjdf.dll file in WINDOWS\System32 while sifting through the rest of the HJT Log, this wasnt a hidden file so i went to go delete it only to find i couldt do so because it was supposedly in use. AVG, spybot and ad-aware all failed or came up with nothing - during the attempted scans csrssc files returned and regedit was blocked again, so i repeated steps to get rid of them.
after doing a bit of research I found out that the tyshb36rfjdf.dll file attaches itself to windows explorer. So I brang up task manager and ended explorer then went and deleted the file. I then rebooted only to find that all the problems were still there.

various attempts to install/Run antivirus software since have failed or come up with nothing, booting up in safe mode makes no difference to anything.

DLed DDS and copied over with USB stick, although my PC sees it as and AutoCAD script - i tried changing file extension to both .bat and .exe, neither of which will run.

Since it has been a few days since you scanned your computer with HijackThis, we will need a new HijackThis log. If you have not already downloaded Random's System Information Tool (RSIT), please download Random's System Information Tool (RSIT) by random/random which includes a HijackThis log and save it to your desktop. If you have RSIT already on your computer, please run it again.
  • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
  • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
  • Please post the contents of log.txt.

If you have already posted this log at another forum or if you decide to seek help at another forum, please let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and taking the time of two volunteer helpers means that someone else may not be helped.

While we are working on your HijackThis log, please:
  • Reply to this thread; do not start another!
  • Do not make any changes on your computer during the cleaning process or download/add programs on your computer unless instructed to do so.
  • Do not run any other tool until instructed to do so!
  • Let me know if any of the links do not work or if any of the tools do not work.
  • Tell me about problems or symptoms that occur during the fix.
  • Do not run any other programs or open any other windows while doing a fix.
  • Ask any questions that you have regarding the fix(es), the infection(s), the performance of your computer, etc.
