If there is anyone who can help me, i have Antivirus 2009 on my brand new computer, and i need help getting rid of it manually, because this one blocked the malwarebytes website. it is basically the normal antivirus 2009 infection, it will block access to real anti virus websites, freeze your computer, show BSOD, yada yada yada. there are two differences in this one, though. for one, like i said, it blocked access to the malwarebytes website, and the other is that it redid my windows bootscreen so it has the MS antivirus logo (which is the same, since they are the same product except packaged differently, like american cars.) instead of the windows logo. The other thing it changed was that instead of having a bar that dissipates than comes back, when it hits the end of the area, it bounces back. I am running windows XP home. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

No offense taken. In my haste to get you to the correct forum, I missed the important part of your post about unable to connect to the MBAM site. However you're in the right forum for assistance. Someone should be able to assist you, soon.
