Portable Hd error

I have a 250 gig portable USB hard drive, I got a 1 tera usb portable for Christmas. I"m trying to transfer everything over but something, somehow, some way the 250 gig got corrupted and I can't seem to transfer the stuff over. Any ideas or solutions? PLEASE Help!! :thumbsup:

Hello Fortyhalf, are you able please to give us some more detail about what way the drive is "corrupted"?

For example have you tried the drive on any computer other than your own? Does the drive give the normal USB device detection "bing" when connected, does it appear as a drive, can you see the files listed but not copy them? If so, what happens (what error messages etc) when you try.

The more information we have the more likely we are to be able to make helpful suggestions.
